State-funded public housing for seniors and people with disabilities is open to households where one member of the household is at least 60 years of age or has a disability and meets certain income guidelines.
To live in state assisted elderly/disabled public housing, you must be at least 60 years old. If you are a person under 60 with a disability, you must meet certain criteria to be eligible for state housing for disabled persons. We do not have family or Section 8 Housing at the Dighton Housing Authority.
You must complete an application and then be placed on a wait list that is kept by the Department of Housing and Community Development CHAMP System. When your name is nearing the top of the wait list, the Authority will contact you. Priority/Preference are given to qualified applicants.
Preference is given to a Dighton veteran, spouse of a veteran, a Dighton resident or an employee who works in Dighton.
